Reel Service Ltd Hails Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show 2018 as a Success

Following the demise of both Nepcon & Semicon trade shows in the UK, a void was left for companies looking to promote themselves within the UK semiconductor & electronics sector. This led to a 15-year hiatus of Reel Service exhibiting within the UK, however the 20th anniversary of the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show earlier this month then seemed the perfect choice for Reel Service to showcase the company’s current portfolio of Services, Materials & Equipment offerings to the UK market again. The show was the first event to be held in the fantastic new Farnborough Exhibition & Conference Centre Hall 1 which boasts 12,500 m2 of floor space, an ideal venue for the growing Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show.
The show was the ideal platform for Reel Service to showcase its new logo & branding to the UK marketplace and also to wrap up the company’s 30th Anniversary year celebrations.
Visitor numbers were strong across all 3 days of the show with many new leads obtained. We also enjoyed meeting with our existing customers discussing current business along with potential new business opportunities.
Exhibitors and attendees alike commented that the show was very well attended and this is perhaps is a reflection of the current buoyant mood within the electronics market in the UK and Europe. With all visitors to the Reel Service booth reporting healthy order books and many exciting projects in the pipeline, we are looking forward to a busy year ahead and further strengthening our market position as ‘The Tape & Reel Company’.
